JOHN W. MORRIS JR.

John Morris, a native of Philadelphia, has a journalism degree from Ohio Wesleyan University (Class of 1992). That degree has helped him serve our Nation for the past 28 years by bringing the news America needs. His work has taken him around the globe in search of the story; from active combat zones across the globe to hurricane ravaged neighborhoods in the United States. John believes strongly in the First Amendment, the power of truth and holding those in power accountable for their actions and words.  

John started working on your side with WSYX-6 ABC in Columbus Ohio in 1992; he has been with “The One and Only” WPVI-6 ABC in Philadelphia for almost 30 years. It was in Philadelphia that his lifelong interest in the military was awakened, listening as a child to the stories of his Grandparents and Great Uncles of their service in World War Two. He has participated in military promotion ceremonies, toured U.S. bases around the world, and has developed the deepest respect for our Servicemembers. As a journalist, he is trained to ask the right question to get to the truth; this skill has served him well as he assists our disabled Servicemembers and Veterans as a member of The Warriors’ Lawyer’s Board of Directors. His service on our Board is a continuation of his life-long quest for justice for all.

John is married and the proud father of a future Philadelphia Phillies Hall of Famer.
